What Are Microbes And Their Types?

The living organisms which are microbial in size are called microorganisms. Due to their small size, microorganisms cannot be seen by the naked eye. The microorganisms are available in different forms of habitats and environmental systems. These organisms are very adaptable and could be found in various climatic conditions such as high or low temperatures and humid or dry environments. Microbiology is the study of microorganisms. Students who study microbiology must complete numerous projects as part of their academics. To assist them in their assignments, they look for experts who can write my essay for me.

Types of Microbes

Due to the adaptable nature of microbes, they are found in various environments. The microbes make more than 50% of total living organisms living on the planet Earth, and they can be classified into the following:

  • Bacteria: They comprise unicellular organisms who done have a nucleus. There are different types of bacteria based on their shape and sizes. The bacteria reproduce by the method of binary fusion. Several bacteria are present in our digestive system, which helps break down complex ingested food into simple products.

  • Fungi: They are microbial organisms that can be unicellular or multi cellular based on their type. These organisms cannot synthesize their food as a result, and they devour perished plants and animals. Mushrooms and yeast are some of the most common fungi.

  • Virus: Virus is one of the most complex living organisms. When they enter a living organism, they are alive, whereas they are dead outside the living organism. The sizes of these microbes are very small and can only be seen with the help of an electron microscope. When these organisms enter the living organism, they infect the living cells in the organism and reproduce the cells.

  • Protists: They are microbial organisms that share the characteristics of both plants and animals. These organisms mainly reproduce by budding or binary fusion.

  • Archea: These living organisms have a similar structure as bacteria. The difference between archaea and bacteria is that these organisms have lipids that help them survive in extreme conditions. The organisms are commonly found in human skin.

The microbes can be classified into the following based on their cellular structure.

  • Prokaryote: The microbes which lack a nucleus and other cell organelles. Microbes usually have a simple genetic structure. Bacteria is one of the most common forms of these organisms.

  • Eukaryote: These organisms contain a nucleus and other cell organelles. These types of microbes are available in different plants and animals. These organisms can generate different functions with numerous cell organelles depending on environmental conditions.
